Wedneday and Saturdays  only 7 am to 12 pm
at Peggy Notebaert Nature Museum 2430 N Cannon Drive (Lincoln Park)
Stock up on organic fruits and vegetables, artisanal cheeses, meats and traditional holiday foods and wreaths. Also features cooking demos (Wednesdays only) and tastings of seasonal ingredients. yummmm!

Zoolights  at Lincoln Park Zoo 5pm -9pm
The Lincoln Park zoo becomes a winter wonderland with over one million hoiday lights, a laser show, live ice carving and of course zoo animals. Truly a winter wonderland for all ages

Roscoe Village WinterFest
Celebrate the season by gathering with friends and family in Roscoe Village on our annual Winterfest Celebration. The fest kicks of at Roscoe and Oakley with a parade led by the Lane Tech Marching Band. The festival will feature many children's activities, choirs, a horse drawn sleigh and, of course, Santa! And don’t worry about getting to all the activities there is a FREE trolley to ride.

Annual Winter Solstice Festival 
Chicago Park District's North Park Village Nature Center
5801 N Pulaski
Welcome the change in season with this festival. There are walks along the nature trails lit by luminaries, a shadow puppet play depicting the Solstice and chestnuts roasted on an open fire. Edible holiday ornaments for the animals that make the nature center their home will be made. A great family event.

if I am correct the daylight begin to extend, the days grow longer ...Ahh

Universal Sole Resolution 5K Run Lincoln Park (Fullerton  & Diversey)
A year end run through scenic Lincoln Park -10am  
What a way to bring in the New year!
